The meaning of Christmas

This month of December, we are being bombed with a lot of advertisement creating or encouraging to buy this or that product and kids are usually an easy target of different kind of stores, but during this celebration of Christmas, there should be a moment that have to take and talk with our kids about the meaning of Christmas, is not only writing a letter to Santa asking for toys if they were good during the year, or buying a big Christmas tree to put their gifts under, we ought to explain also that on Christmas we celebrate the nativity of Jesus Christ that came to this world to save us, and also it’s not only about receiving nice things, it’s also about sharing and giving, like He did for us, that is a good time of the year to share with those that have less than us and time to forgive and be united in family, in that way they can celebrate Christmas like kids but knowing that there’s a meaning, there’s a reason why we do all those nice things for Christmas Eve.
